DKMS registration at Labor LS

On November 12 and 13, 2024, we held a DKMS registration campaign on our premises, during which numerous employees registered as potential bone marrow or stem cell donors.

DKMS is an international non-profit organization that has been dedicated to giving blood cancer patients around the world a second chance at life since it was founded in 1991. By collecting bone marrow and stem cell donors, DKMS makes a significant contribution to improving the chances of survival for blood cancer patients.

In 2016, one of our own employees was able to save a life by donating stem cells. His example shows what a huge impact registration can have. After an extensive health test, he was warmly welcomed at the Institute for Transfusion, where the stem cells were collected. Through his action, he was able to save the life of a mid-50-year-old man from the USA.
