Gas chromatography

With our flexible range of equipment available for performing gas chromatography (GC), we can offer a wide variety of tests for your raw materials, APIs and finished products. We use state-of-the-art gas chromatographs with liquid and headspace injection. Flame ionisation detection (FID) and mass spectrometric detection (GCMS) are currently available.

Common methods in our portfolio include:

  • Residual solvent analysis in accordance with Ph. Eur. 2.4.24 or USP <467>
  • Assay and / or purity testing
  • Determination of fatty acid profiles in accordance with Ph. Eur. 2.4.22 or USP <401>
  • Limit tests for ethylene oxide and dioxane in accordance with Ph. Eur. 2.4.25 or USP <228>
  • Ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol in ethoxylated substances in accordance with Ph. Eur. 2.4.30 
  • Ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol in ethoxylated substances in accordance with USP <469>
