Sequencing
Molecular sequencing of microorganisms is regarded as the "gold standard" for the identification of microorganisms, as the DNA sequence is always unique in contrast to phenotypic characteristics. The sequencing results are based on the evaluation using up-to-date GMP validated databases.
The quality and reliability of the results is ensured by a comprehensive plausibility check of the results. Only when the cultural morphology, the result of the Gram staining and the identification result from the database of the used system match and are conclusive, the result is released.
