At Aseptikon in Mannheim, our expert Olivia Halamoda will explain how to properly plan sterility tests and perform them under aseptic conditions. She will explore the interplay between method selection and qualified personnel and use case studies to demonstrate which approaches have proven effective in practice.

In a talk entitled ‘Scaling Applications – From Initial Validation to Broader Routine Use’, he will discuss how a method can be further developed, from its initial introduction and validation right through to the verification of the process for new products.

When standard methods reach their limits, alternative strategies are needed.

Sample matrices with specific properties can significantly complicate or even prevent testing in accordance with Ph. Eur. Chapter 2.6.12. In her presentation, “Addressing challenging matrices under Ph. Eur. Chapter 2.6.12: case studies and alternative strategies,” our colleague will discuss future approaches to handling such samples. She will also consider possible strategies for the further development of the pharmacopoeial chapter at the EDQM Symposium: Microbiology on the Move in Strasbourg on October 14, 2026.

What role do different test parameters play in disinfectant efficacy?

Regulatory requirements, test methods, and varying test parameters are central to disinfectant validation in pharmaceutical operations. In her presentation, “Validierung von Desinfektionsmitteln im pharmazeutischen Betrieb,” our colleague Anastasija Schlicht will discuss how disinfection procedures are validated in this context and how different test parameters influence disinfectant efficacy. The presentation will take place at Hygienebeauftragte/r (H 2), Block 2 in Mannheim on October 20, 2026.
