Are you interested in studying while at the same time gaining experience in a company? Then dual studies are just the thing for you!
In cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Trier and the responsible chamber, Labor LS offers the combined study course Bio- and Pharmaceutical Engineering with the training to become a biology laboratory assistant (m/f/d).
Over 8 semesters you will receive a basic natural science as well as a basic engineering education. This is complemented by subjects such as mathematics, physics and computer sciences. During the first two semesters, practical training to become a biology laboratory assistant (m/f/d) is held at Labor LS. At the same time, vocational school lessons are held in Würzburg (Klara Oppenheimer School). Training complies with the training regulations and the framework curriculum in accordance with the Vocational Training Act (BBiG). From the third semester onwards, practical training at Labor LS is supplemented by study units at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.
Intermediate training examinations take place until the end of the 4th semester.
During the semester breaks, the practical parts of the modules are taught at LS and the final examination of the vocational training takes place until the end of the 6th semester.
In the 7th and 8th semesters further academic training is performed, which ends with the practical study phase and the Bachelor thesis at Labor LS. At the end of the fourth year, students who successfully complete their studies are awarded the academic degree of a "Bachelor of Science".
